Constrictive pericarditis is a rare disease of infancy and childhood, and is almost always caused by a tuberculosis or other infection. It is usually fatal, if untreated in acute phase. Early diagnosis of this condition is now facilitated by echocardiography and computerized tomography. This study was conducted to find out the present status and problems of weaning in Korea through
the 200 infants who visited Maternal-Child Health Center, Soon Chun Hyang University from Nov.
85 to June 86.
The result and problems obtained from the study are summarized as follows:
