A bronchial cast is an uncommon condition in children. Asthma or allergy often is the cause of cast
production but in some instances no allergy is found. We have recently experienced a case of fibrinous
bronchial cast in a 14 month-olf female. The diagnosis was made by chest X-ray, bronchoscopic
extraction and histologic examination. |

Since the advent of effective antituberculous chomtherapy in the 1940s, the frequency and severity
of intestinal tuberculosis have markedly decreased.
But the incidence of tuberculous disease is still high in Korea. We have recently experienced a
cases of intestinal tuberculosis with huge retroperitoneal tuberculous lymphadenitis simulating
neoplasm in 2 year 3 month old female. The cases was reported with the brief review of literatures. |
