A clinical assessment of the 30 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy who were admitted to the
Department of Pediatrics, Yousei University Hospital from January, 1980 to June, 1986 was perfor-

The results were as follows:
1) Among 30 patients of dilated cardiomyopathy, 11 cases (36%) were younger than 1 year of age
