The present report described the cytogenetic findings in 273 cases under the age of 15 years who
were suspected as having chromosomal abnormalities clinically.
The cytogenetic analysis was conducted at chromosome laboratory of Keimyung University School
of Medicne, from September 1982 to June 1987.
The following results were obtained.
Chromosomal abnormalities were found in 85 (31.3%) of the cases studied.

The clinical study was done on 68 cases of hypernatremic dehydration which were diagnosed at
pediatric department of Dong-san Hospital Keimyung University during the period from January 1980
to June 1987.
The results were as follows;
1) Among 672 cases with dehydration, hypernatremic dehydration was 10.1%
2) The higer monthly distribution was in May and November.
