This was a case of Wilson’s disease found in a 14 year old Korean boy
1) The patient showed abdominal distension, splenomegaly, pitting edema on the lower
extremity, and Kayser-Fleischer ring on the corneal margin of both eyes.
2) The laboratory findings showed low level of ceruloplasmin (3.5 mg/dl) and high level of

We analyzed 15 infants and children who were admitted and diagnosed as Reye syndrome.
at Gu Mi Soon Chun Hyang Hospital during the period of 9 months from Feb. 1981 to Oct.
1981 The results were as follows.
1) The cases of Reye syndrome were 15 patients (1. 6%) among 579 hospitaHzed patients
and 4 patients (26.7%) died of Reye syndrome.

The authors observed 56 cases of congenital syphilis in newborns who had been treated at
Eul Ji General Hospital during the period of Jan. 1977 through Dec. 1981.
1) The incidence of congenital syphilis in the cases delivered at Evi Ji hospital was 0.5%,
while the incidence in the cases transferred from other clinic was 1.7%.
