Streptozotocin produces diabetes in laboratory animals through the destuction of the pancreatic
beta cells. The diabetogenic activity of STZ, however, is known to be modified by several agents such
as nicotinamide, diazoxide, adrenergic blockers and petussis vaccine (PV). The present study was
