Hyperglycemia in Stressed Premature Infants.

The blood glucose response to a constant glucose infusion were measured in 62 premature infants weighing 1,000 to 2,200 gm. The study includes 32 stressed premature infants who had respiratory distress, Necrotizing enterocolitis, premature rupture of membranes, sepsis and 30 control premature infants.
