Prevalence of hepatitis B surface antigen in pediatric in patients.

Thirty three from 689 children (4.79%) who were screened among hospitalized patients from July, 1986 to June, 1988, were positive for hepatitis B surface antigen in their serum sample tested by radioimmunoassay. The positive rate of hepatitis B surface antigen was 3.04% when the hepatitis patients were excluded. The incidence of hepatitis B surface antigen was higher (5.18%) in male than in famale (4.17%)...
