We experienced a case of type A Niemann Pick disease in 13 month female baby. She showed marked hepatosplenomegaly, developmental regression and apathy. Fundoscopic examination revealed a cherry red spot in the macula. Numerous foamy histiocyte were seen in bone marrow.
