Infantile acute hemorrhagic edema(IAHE) is a variant of leukocytoclastic vasculitis which is characterized by painful edematous purpura of cockade pattern on the head and distal extremities. The lesions are limited to the skin and complete recovery occurs within 1 to 3 weeks. Recently, it is accepted as a separate entity from Henoch-Schönlein purpura.
