Early detection of gentamicin nephrotoxicity using urinary beta2-microglobulin in neonates.

Gentamicin, commonly used antibiotics in neonatal care, has a nephrotoxicity, but it is difficulto to assess renal function in early stage. This study evaluated the renal function and urinary β2-microglobulin excretion in 17 gentamicin treated and 11 control neonates.
