Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) is characterized by diverse symptoms including rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, and dermatomyositis, associated with high titers of antibodies to extractable nuclear antigen (ENA), especially anti-ribonucleoprotein (anti-RNP) antibody.
