Abstract
The change of electrocardiogram, acute phase reactants and serum protein fractions in rheumatic fever were compared with the clinical activity. Eleven Cases of total 21 rheumatic children who had observed at least months, had been suffered :from carditis. The results were as follows; 1.The electrophoretic patterns of serum protein in active rheumatic fever showed the tendency to be decreased in albumin, and increased in alpha2-globulin and gamma-globulin. The change in alpha2-globulin fraction was mere significant than others. 2.The change of alpha2-globulin, Q-Tc interval and E. S.R. were closly related to activity of rheumatic fever. 3. The degree of increased ASO titer had the tendency to be parallel to the increased alpha2-globulin, high titer of ASO (over 500 u.) seemed to be correlated with severity and activity of :rheumatic feer.
