Abstract |
A total of 252 children 252 with convulsive disorders were studied after admission in Ewha Womans University hospital during the 3 years period from September, 1964 to August, 1967. 1.The most frequent age group of convulsion was from one to three years of age, which was 34% of total convulsive disorder cases. According to age distribution, different etiologic factors were observed, and chief causes were w Acute Febrile Convulsion and others were associated with Tuberculous meningitis, Tetanus neonatorum, aseptic menigitis, poisoning and Idiopathic epilepsy”. 2.The most frequent age group of Acute Febrile Convulsion was from one and three years of age,
and the most frequent degree of body temperature was 39°C to 40°C. Major etiologic factors of febrile convulsion were Bronchopneumonia, Pharyngitis, Gastroenteritis, Sepsis, during Measle and after vaccination. 3. According to reporters, different percentage observed the frequency:of recurrent convulson without fever after febrile convulsin attack, but high genetic influence in family was observed.
