The results were obtained as follows; 1) The placental dysfunction syndrome was 21.0% out of total newborn babies and it’s distribution was 12.5% in stage 1, 6.2% in stage I, and 2.3% in stage JH by Clifford’s classification. The sexual ratio of male to female was 3 to 2 and mean age of mothers was 27.6 years and about a half of all cases were old primigravidas. 2)The distribution of babies according to gestation age showed 28.8% in post-term, 68.1% in fullterm, and 3.1% in preterm. 3) The birth weight and height of pre and fullterm babies with this syndrome were compared slightly light with normal pre and fullterm but above 42 gestational week were preferably increased, 4)The heavier placenta was, the greater birth weight of baby was. But in cases of 1, 000 gm or more of placental weight, birth weight was rather on the decrease. 5)Toxemia was the most common abnormal manifestation at the rate of two-thirds among various prenatal complication of gravida, and also noticed mild edema, twin pregnancy or syphilitic cases. 6)Cyanosis, flaccidity and respiratory distress were observed at the rate of 28.5% among them.
