The clinical observations and the significances of IgE level on 38 cases with bronchial asthma who were admitted to the Dept, of Ped. Dong San Sacred Heart Hospital Hallym University from Oct. 1984 to Sept. 1985. The result were followings: 1) The peak age incidence of bronchial asthma was 3 to 10 year of age. E. C. ≥ 250/mm) was found in 57.8% of patients, and elevated IgE level (≥200l.U./ml) was found in 65.8% of patients. 6) The serum IgE level had correlation with total eosinophil count. The serum IgE level had no correlation with age of patients. 7) No significant difference was found between the serum IgE level in male and that in female patient. No significant difference was found between the serum IgE level of asthma with other allergic diseases and that of asthma only.
