| Abstract |
|
In order to study about the change of ADH secretion in allergic animal, we sensitized guinea pigs with cow's milk in two ways, parenterally or orally. Parenterally sensitized guinea pigs were given 0.3c.c. of raw cow's milk subcutaneously and intraperitoneally, respectively. And two days later, another 0.3c.c. of raw caw's milk were given subcutaneously. Orally sensitized guinea pigs were given 100 c.c. of raw cow's milk by orally
divided in 3 days. Sensitized guinea pigs, in both ways-multiple parenterally sensitized or orally sensitized, were
challenged by 10c.c. of raw cow's milk by orally 3 or 4 weeks later. Challenged guinea pigs developed allergic or anaphylactic symptoms after about 10 min.,such as scratching, trembling, chewing and dyspnea, and these symptoms continued about one hour. Following the challenge 50 min. later, blood of the guinea pigs were withdrawn and its antidiuretic activities were tested by modified Crawford method- The results are concluded as follows: 1)Allergic or anaphylactic guinea pig’s serum induced by cow's milk revealed rema kable antidiuretic activity. 2)We assumed that the intensity of the antidiuretic activities o£ the serum resulted from parenteral and entral sensitization were almost
