Atypical presentation of Kawasaki disease resembling a retropharyngeal abscess

Kawasaki disease is an acute systemic inflammatory disorder, the etiology of which has not yet been established. The clinical manifestations are non-specific and are common to many pediatric infectious and immunologic diseases.
