Clin Exp Pediatr. 2018;61(11):362-365.   Published online October 24, 2018

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze changes in QRS duration and cardiothoracic ratio (CTR) following pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) in patients with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Methods: Children and adolescents who had previously undergone total repair for TOF (n=67; median age, 16 years) who required elective PVR for pulmonary regurgitation and/or right ventricular out tract obstruction were included in this study....

Woo Hyun Yoo, Min-Jung Cho, Peter Chun, Kwang Hun Kim, Je Sang Lee, Yong Beom Shin
Clin Exp Pediatr. 2017;60(6):196-201.   Published online June 22, 2017
Purpose

Myocardial dysfunction and dysrhythmias are inevitable consequences of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. We aimed to evaluate specific trends of electrocardiographic changes that reflect the progress of cardiomyopathy in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Methods

Fifty electrocardiograms (ECGs) of 30 patients (ages 1 to 27 years) who had not been prescribed medications for heart failure treatment at the time of examination were retrospectively analyzed...

Clin Exp Pediatr. 2010;53(5):644-647.   Published online May 31, 2010
Purpose

To evaluate myocardial conductivity to understand cardiac involvement in patients with mitochondrial disease.

Methods

We performed retrospective study on fifty-seven nonspecific mitochondrial encephalopathy patients with no clinical cardiac manifestations. The patients were diagnosed with mitochondrial respiratory chain complex defects through biochemical enzyme assays of muscle tissue. We performed standard 12-lead electrocardiography (ECG) on all patients.

Results

ECG abnormalities were observed in 30 patients (52.6%)....

The changes in signal-averaged electrocardiogram after surgical correction of congenital heart disease

Clin Exp Pediatr. 2009;52(12):1364-1369.   Published online December 15, 2009
Purpose : To analyze abnormal ventricular activation in childhood congenital heart disease induced by postoperative changes in ventricular volume and pressure and ventricular scar formation using signal-averaged electrocardiography (SAECG). Methods : Fifty-two patients who had undergone open heart surgery (OHS) were enrolled. Patients were divided into the following 3 groups: right ventricular volume overload (atrial septal defect, group1), left ventricular...
The changes of electrocardiography and signal-averaged electrocardiography after surgical repair of Tetralogy of Fallot

Clin Exp Pediatr. 2007;50(5):462-468.   Published online May 15, 2007
Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes of the late potential of Signal- averaged electrocardiography (SAECG) and Electrocardiography (ECG) parameters during follow up of those who had taken surgical repair of Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Methods : Nine patients who had taken surgical repair of TOF since 1985 checked SAECG and standard 12 leads ECG twice...
