Abstract
Fetal weight for gestational period were elaborated through establishment of the birth weight-gestational age tables in 1836 Korean newborn infants between 28〜42 weeks of gestational age. Mean, standard deviation and the 10th, 25th, 75th, and 90th percentile were calculated. In comparison our data with those of 1970, there were significant increment of the birth weight of Korean infants, especially over 33 weeks of gestational age, during decade. We also calculated the mean and standard deviation of postnatal growth of 289 low birth weight infants weighted from 1,500 to 2,500 gm, and graphed by 5 groups which were devided by each 250 gm of birth weight. In these growth curve of Korean low birth weight infants, a favorable result were observed than those of Caucasians below 1,500 gm of birth in contrarily, decreased growth rates were revealed in the group above 1,500 gm.
